日前，美联储宣布将联邦基金利率的目标区间下调50个基点。在接受中新网采访时，澳大利亚中国工商业委员会董事会前成员、丝绸之路国际商会澳大利亚代表戴若·顾比(Daryl Guppy)表示，本次美联储的大幅降息，反映出美国自身债务问题危机四伏，并对全球市场产生影响，尤其是与美元挂钩的国家。一些国家的货币政策将不得不跟随美国脚步，尽管这些措施可能不适合当地的经济环境。

The Federal Reserve has announced a benchmark interest rate cut by 50 basis points to a new range of 4.75%-5%. Daryl Guppy, former national board member of the Australia China Business Council and Australian representative of the Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce, noted that the Fed's giant rate cut reflects the debt crisis of the U.S, and the impacts will flow to all regional currencies that are tied to the dollar peg.
